All I wanted was a car...

Dear Readers,

The title is really a stretch to connect to my thoughts today, so don't pay it too much thought. The song it originates from talks about a guy in high school who was working really hard. He didn't want to go to college or take girls out on dates, no...he was working for a car of his own. Now, I'm working for use of a car before I leave, but it can relate.

The kitchen floor has only been cleaner than today on one occasion...when it was first put in by my Father and Brother-in-law. They worked hard to put in all the tile and grout it before sealing it all up. I proclaim that the sealent used on that day now starts to come up with a combination of scrubbing really hard and kneeling on it with a towel. The point remains, it can now have feet walk on it without fear of gaining undesired attachments...

I started packing missionary things today! It seemed logical to start packing up every useless thing in my room and send it off to Deseret Industries. Everything else can either come with me to Chile or go into select storage bins. All my high school stuff falls into the useless category, including homework kept as proof of my "productive" high school career. Report Cards and such went into a keepsake folder. Clothes are starting to be sorted into useless to me or undesirable attire.

Yeah, that car will be mine to use on Friday, whether it kills me or not. This house will be clean.

Am I Proud to Be an American?

This weekend is the 4th of July, or Independence Day in the United States of America. One of my favorite songs during this time of celebrating the country is "God Bless the USA." The words paint a detailed picture of the beauty of the United States, both in a physical and emotional aspect. Our country is often depicted in a majestic manner such as this, making it seem like the greatest in the world and we often hear those bold words, "I'm proud to be an American."  With all of the issues that have been cropping up over the past couple of years such as impeachment, systemic racism, foreign intervention, and most significantly the COVID-19 pandemic, I have reflected deeply about what we celebrate with the 4th of July. I Don't Wanna Be Anything Other Than Me

Dear Reader,  I work online at one of my part-time jobs. Sometimes it is required of me to look up a person's credentials or accomplishments to better fill out a description of their time on the radio. This means I do Google searches quite frequently to find their websites, their social media profiles, etc. By no means am I a guru on the world wide web, but I have been around the internet a few times. Why does any of this matter to you, reader? It matters because I have found a few things that are essential to being safe online. As much as anyone hates to admit, the persona built on the web greatly affects the actual person outside of technology. It matters because we need to review the tips on how to remain safe online regularly.  Here is a quick example of how important it is to monitor what you put online.
