Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me

Dear Reader,

My girlfriend's head is on my shoulder. It hurts her face because my shoulder is bony. She does not like it much when her face hurts. The end. Feel enlightened.

Ok, that was not really the end. That is just what Lauren wanted to input about my blog. This is the first time she has really seen my blog at all. She has yet to see any of the posts. Unless she stalked me, found it and read it without me knowing. I wouldn't mind that. She knows basically everything about me anyway. This is one of the few things she hasn't seen, but it is nothing of extreme consequence. It is more of an added bonus.

As the title suggests, she is very attractive: physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually and whatever other -lly words you can think of. I love her a lot. Tonight she showed how awesome she is by bringing me some milk after she ended her shift at work. That may not seem like a lot, but it is very significant. She also dances with me. Again, not a huge deal, but I treasure it. She has taken many a dance class at the University, so she is quite well-versed in how to follow a good leader on the dance floor.

So, as for today, not much insight other than a very special focus on the small and simple pleasures in life. Like just relaxing my head on her, just like you would on your pillow.

You make me dance like a fool, forget how to breath, shine like gold...

Dear Readers, Ok, so I can't fit the entire title into the title box. It's a good song, go look it up: "You make me smile." The title can apply to anyone, I've found. The rest of the lyrics would probably refer to a best friend or a significant other, but anyone can make you smile. They all have the own way of doing it. Some are just funny all the time and you can't help smiling when you're around that person. I know some who take care of people so well that you just smile when they're doing something for another. Others you can talk to about your problems and no matter what they say, it seems to make sense and you feel better...thus a smile. Ok, a smile doesn't always come in that case, but people usually smile after that. Anyone can have a blonde moment and make everyone smile because of it. I'm glad I've got friends who can do all of these: have blonde moments, take care of others or have an episode of hyperactivity that you can't he...

Am I Proud to Be an American?

This weekend is the 4th of July, or Independence Day in the United States of America. One of my favorite songs during this time of celebrating the country is "God Bless the USA." The words paint a detailed picture of the beauty of the United States, both in a physical and emotional aspect. Our country is often depicted in a majestic manner such as this, making it seem like the greatest in the world and we often hear those bold words, "I'm proud to be an American."  With all of the issues that have been cropping up over the past couple of years such as impeachment, systemic racism, foreign intervention, and most significantly the COVID-19 pandemic, I have reflected deeply about what we celebrate with the 4th of July. These issues are just a few of the many that have made me wonder about the country we praise so proudly.  Am I really proud to be an American?  Thomas Jefferson wrote the candid words of the Declaration of Independence, which were th...

Online

Dear Reader, Brad Paisley sings a song about how creating a totally different person when one is on the internet. It is a funny take on how people change themselves to look better on websites like Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, or whatever other sites you can think of. It is a song geared mostly toward meeting people for dating. I'll share a couple of my favorite parts. I work down at the pizza pit And I drive an old Hyundai I still live with my mom and dad I'm 5'3" and overweight ... But there's a whole 'nother me  That you need to see Go check out Myspace 'cause online I'm out in Hollywood I'm 6'5" and I look [darn] good I drive a Maserati I'm a black belt in karate and I love a good glass of wine ... I'm so much cooler online This idea of changing who you are online is something I have seen a lot with people around me. My friends and family have accounts on all kinds of websites and da...
