He Rules the World with a Staff and a Rod

Dear Reader,

The other day I had a shower thought that was quite profound. Upon pondering the thought throughout the week, it became clear that it was too good not to share with you. It is a principle that is sometimes hard to learn, but it is important none the less.

The only enemies I have are the clock and myself.

That is the thought that started it all off. Then, as I started thinking of how to explain this to other people, the song posted above came to mind. "Me and God" reminded me that my shower thought was right, as long as I stand with God and work with him. For him, all things are possible. Therefore, I am my only enemy next to the time I have on earth.

Now you might say, "Gus, why is the clock your enemy if God can alter the fabric of time to do his will?" I don't know how that works, but the clock is my only enemy because we have a set amount of time to live in this probationary period God has given us, so we have to use it wisely.

With that in mind, I want to leave the short message here:

The only enemies I have are the clock and myself...as long as I stand with God.

Dear Readers, Ok, so I can't fit the entire title into the title box. It's a good song, go look it up: "You make me smile." The title can apply to anyone, I've found. The rest of the lyrics would probably refer to a best friend or a significant other, but anyone can make you smile. They all have the own way of doing it. Some are just funny all the time and you can't help smiling when you're around that person. I know some who take care of people so well that you just smile when they're doing something for another. Dear Reader, I work online at one of my part-time jobs. Sometimes it is required of me to look up a person's credentials or accomplishments to better fill out a description of their time on the radio. This means I do Google searches quite frequently to find their websites, their social media profiles, etc. By no means am I a guru on the world wide web, but I have been around the internet a few times. Why does any of this matter to you, reader? It matters because I have found a few things that are essential to being safe online.
