Well hey there Yall! That phrase is actually pretty appropriate considering my new companion. His name is Elder Thomas and he is a Texan through and through (despite the fact that he was born in Orem). He´s lived in Texas forever and he has the slightest accent that I think I might be picking up by talking with him. He´s in his second to last cambio, which means he goes home in February, along with Elder Brann, my last companion. So, that makes Elder May the youngest companion I´ve had in the mission, having 15 months when we were together in Coronel. Elder Thomas is going to make a Texan out of me while we´re together. We´ll see if we stay together until February when he goes home. (Don´t worry, he won´t really make a Texan out of me...I could never be Texan. I´m a Utahn at heart). Happy Thanksgiving! I didn´t realize until the day of Thanksgiving that it is a North American holiday. Nobody mentioned anything the day of, but all the gringos talked about it the day after. I actually fo
Hey Yall, Well, I'm headin' on south to outskirt town of Curacautin. I'm going to be with a gringo that my current Companion, Elder Brann, was actually with about 4 months ago. Elder Brann Left Curanilahue to come to Camilo and was companions with Elder Thomas, my new companion. He moved to CuraCautin while we were working here in Camilo Olavarria. So, we're just doing a lot of switches between companions. Elder Brann and Elder Thomas both go home in February, so we'll see if I happen to kill Elder Thomas or not. Elder Thomas is from Texas originally. So, with all those fun cambios happening, there's a whole lot more to write because we had a very special weekend where God's hand was definitely present. First and foremost, Millaray got baptized on Saturday. It was a miracle if I've ever seen one. It was like a story you would hear in the Ensign. Millaray has been sick recently, so we were really trying to hard to get the water heater to work in the chape
Hey Y'all, This has been quite a week of frustration, but now we're getting everything under control. It was a mess yesterday with everything that was happening for the choir that's going to sing for the district conference in December. It was a mess trying to get an elder from Arauco to come play the piano, but it doesn't work anyway because he and I are both probably leaving next week with the cambios. Sorry It's really short this week because we're very short on time today. We're having a great time and we're going to have a baptism on Saturday, so it's going to go well! Elder Lundstrom
Hey Yall, So, we had a very interesting experience last night. Elder Arjona and Elder Westbrook, the elders in another city, stayed at our house last night so they could travel to Concepcion today. Anyway, while they were at our house last night Elder Brann and I began wrestling. Now, Elder Brann is a little bugger, but he's fast and flexible. Not to mention he has the advantage of knowing wrestling moves like my Dad does (That's the only reason my dad can still beat me in wrestling). So, we began wrestling and neither one of us could get the other one down. Every time we hit the ground the one other would just flip over and we would soon be back on our feet trying to get each other's legs again. I think we would have gone all night long had Elder Brann not put me into a choke hold and cut off my air supply. As I was about to pass out, I figured living was more important than beating someone in wrestling. haha, don't worry, it wasn't that serious. He di
Hey Y'all, Well, the week has been flying by, along with the cambio and the mission. Time flies when one is working hard. We've had all kinds of activities, tragedies and anything else you can think of this week, so here we go with the adventure... First of all, I love kids. They say the darndest things and have the best questions. We visit a little Girl named Millarai and her mom, who's a member. We're going to help Millarai get baptized and work with her dad as well. Anyway, she and her little sister always make our day when we go over to visit. It is a great time to help them while they redo their house and also when talking about the gospel. In other news, I finished up the book of Mormon for the first time in Spanish. It was a great time and I've learned lots more about why it's so important to help us understand the need for Christ in our lives. Elder Brann and I are both working on the Old Testament now, as advised by one of the gen
