Listen carefully to conference this week. Know that I´ll be watching it too, although it will probably be in Spanish. Elder Rabanales and I are staying together here in Curacautin and we had a great time in Victoria with the Zone one last time before Elder Earl, Elder Wilcox and the Sisters leave tomorrow. On Wednesday we're going to have a fun time getting to know the new sisters and the new missionaries that are arriving in our zone and to the mission. The biggest news of the week: yes, they called me as Branch President. Any advice?

Conferences and Sponge-bathing

Well, we got flu shots this week in a conference with all the missionaries. It was a conference all about health and security as missionaries. It was really funny because as we were waiting for the bus, there was a dog wandering around bugging people in the terminal, so I whistled for him to come over and visit me. At the conference, they reminded us not to touch animals and to avoid them when possible. All the missionaries that traveled with us to the conference just gave me a weird look. :) We have a look-a-like for this week: we talked with a girl that is exactly like Devonaire Jones, my good friend. It was kind of funny because we saw her 2 or 3 more times the same day and I did double takes. Our shower is currently broken, so what do we do? We take a bucket, heat up water and sponge bathe! It's a grand old time. I knew I bought that bucket for a reason. We're looking forward to going back to the house near the church when the Haroldsens leave next week. They currently live

I Need thee every hour

Natali Fernandez was baptized this week and we're so very excited that she chose to do so. She and her family greatly enjoyed the experience, despite the fact that for the first time I've ever heard of, the water in the Baptismal font was too HOT. Normally we are so worried about it being too cold or not filled up enough, but those were the least of our problems on Saturday. Natali almost didn't go down in the water because it was too hot. Ironic, huh? We're very excited to keep working hard and help others make the same promise that Natali made and is going to keep here to help her family and her Grandma. Her Grandma is a long-time member of the church, 25 years to be exact. She's a great help to Natali and we hope she's around for awhile longer, considering she's 88 years old. Hopefully all is well with all of you! Have a great week!

Rain Rain, go away

Well, the rain does not want to stop this week. We've have 2 huge thunderstorms and all the locals here in Curacuatin say that winter is setting in early. We´ll see if the snow reaches here while I'm still here. :) Actually, the cambios are a little weird this time around. At the end of this month, Elder and Hermana Haroldsen return to the US, leaving the branch without a branch president. Our Mission President said that it´s going to return to being missionaries. That means it will be one of us or a new missionary that will be put in if I leave Curacautin. We don't know anything, actually. we´ll see how it goes. :) Natali is progressing well and teaching her son everything we talk about. It's really great to see how much she´s progressing. :) It´'s her Birthday next week, so we'll see if we can do something really fun. :) Keep reading the scriptures daily! It's amazing the answers and ideas you can find there in the books that God has given us. :) Don't
