What a week... The week of lots of changes. I have a new companion, Elder Garcia from El Salvador. He's got a year on the mission and I met him when he got to the mission. We're already best buddies. :) We had exchanges with the Assistants this week. They work in the area right next to ours and they contacted a family that lives in our sector, so we had exchanges to meet the family. I got to work with Elder Tanner again! As a refresher, I lived in the same house with Elder Tanner about a year and a half ago when I arrived to the mission in the city of Temuco. So, we talked a little bit about how much we've learned and experienced here on the mission. He goes home next month. We played a great joke on Elder Garcia with the Bishop's son. We pretended that the Bishop's son wasn't a member and was in fact a drug dealer. Elder Garcia almost died. :) We're tired, but we're happy. Don't forget everyone to read your scriptures and have meaningful con

It's been a good week

It's been a good week. A little long, but we felt good. We're really excited about Mara, a lady with lots of troubles and her whole family is adventist. But, she's been coming to church and showed a lot of interest in going to the temple with the ward this week. That would be an awesome experience for her. We're also working with a college student named Maria Jose whose mom died a few years back. She's a big thinker and swears,"She's never going to be mormon." I laugh and we keep visiting her because she is really receptive to the things we teach her. She doesn't believe in God a whole lot, so we're having a hard time with that. I'm really excited for this week when we start a new cambio and I get to work with Elder Garcia, an elder who's a good friend of mine. I was in the same zone when he got to the mission, so I've known him since the start. :)
Working with the Old School Hey Y'all, This week we had a great baptismal service for Fernando Cuevas! He turns 12 in October, so he'll receive the Aaronic priesthood. :) As for the big news of the week: we're working with a senior couple again! The Bensons got on Saturday and showed up to church on Sunday and talked to us. "Hi, we're the Bensons, we're going to be attending your ward." Pretty legit, right? We're excited to have them. They'll be working in the office, so we won't see them much apart from Church on Sunday. Good times. :) We went to a birthday party for our neighbor, Jorge, who turned 16 this week. :) It was a good time, but we left early to visit a few more people. Don't forget, Men are that they might have joy and wickedness never was happiness. Therefore, being slothful is not happiness. 2 Nephi 2:25 Alma 41:10 D&C 58:26-27 Remember to read!!
