Hey Y'all, This week has been a doozy! Roger, our fine friend from Camilo, finally stepped down into the waters of baptism on Tuesday and received the Holy Ghost on Sunday. We and his family are all very excited to finally have him as a member and he's going to progress very well. We're going to give him a tie when we go to his house on Thursday! :) This week we've also had little miracles! We met a guy named Patricio a couple of weeks ago, who we're not quite sure whether his mind is all there or not. We had been inviting him to come to church and yesterday he not only came, but brought a friend with him! We're going to visit the both of them this week to talk about the Plan of Salvation because Patricio recently lost his mom. His friend's name is Armando. They're pretty cool guys. We also found 2 or 3 other people that are awesome as well. On Sunday we went to the birthday party for Nancy, a lady we recently met while knocking doors. Her fa
Hey yall, Sorry you didn´t hear from me last week. The new mission president proclaimed september as a ¨month of santification¨, part of which being a week without internet, including writing to families. He talked to us about getting rid of Facebook and other problems in the mission. So, we went the 12th without internet, but I still wrote a letter to the family. :) As almost everyone asked, the 18th of September is the independence day of Chile. However, the real party was on the 17th, with the branch. The following happened on that saturday. Seeing as no one even looks at us on these days, it was hard to work. However, on saturday we went to the Branch Party where we celebrated
Hey yall, This week has been a whopper. We got into our groove with the new cambios and now know our companions pretty well. Elder May left and now works in Talcahuano, and his replacement is Elder Brann. Elder Jeffrey Brann comes from England. He was born there and lives there now, but most of his life he has lived in Idaho. He's a good guy and is a master with a Rubix cube and flute. He uses the rubix cube to grab the attention of those dumb kids in the street who call us out. He pulls that out, starts putting into order and they automatically start paying attention while we explain how the cube is like our life and we need Jesus Christ to know how to put it in order between going to work, school and having a social life. It's really awesome. As for the other cambios, Elder Camargo arrived Tuesday night to be Elder Gonzalez's companion. He is direct from the MTC in Santiago and is originally from Bogota Colombia. He's a good guy and has the body build of
